Recognizing the Chipmunk Canyon Trail System as an important community asset, the Eastern Sierra Council of Governments, in partnership with the BLM, Inyo National Forest, LADWP, and the Bishop Paiute Tribe, is conducting a current conditions analysis of the area.

The purpose of this effort is to better understand community interests while promoting responsible use that respects the area’s ecological resources and cultural sensitivities.
